The restaurant is excellent, with top-notch service and delicious food. A great feature is that it allows you to bring your own wine, which is a bonus. We only paid $150 including tax and tip for 2 people, which isn't bad at all. This place is a hidden gem and highly recommended.
I have visited this restaurant for the second time in a few years. The atmosphere is peaceful and the decor in the historic building is impressive. The tartare is incredibly tasty, but everything on the menu appears to be delicious.
It was my second visit at Chez Alexime and maybe my last. First of all, the parking is very small and it is not easy to park with an SUV on a Saturday evening. The welcome was friendly and we were expecting great service, but... There were many groups being served in our section, so our table service was not great, receiving not much attention. We had to do our own wine service during dinner. Food was not impressive this time: my rack of lamb was a bit too cocked and charred, the "Limoncello" chicken breast did not taste lemon, etc. Desserts were "off the shelf" pastries well presented but not memorable. Coffee was ok. The main advantage of that restaurant is that you can bring your own wine. Very desappointed, we don't tink that we will revisit!
Reasonably priced, delicious food. A great option for a date night, bring your own wine!
J'ai mangé le canard confit, et c'était excellent. Le risotto aux champignons était trop cuit. Ma femme a pris une entrée de boeuf tartar qui était trop vinaigré/épicé mais ils l'ont changé sans chichi pour un tartar de saumon qui était très bon. En entrée j'ai mangé la pétoncle. Wow, délicieux !! Nos amis ont pris des tartars de saumon ainsi que côte de boeuf braisé et c'était également tendre (la côte) et savoureux. Le potage aux citrouilles était très bon. Le service était très bien et les desserts sont riches et une belle variation. Overall, nous avons apprécié grandement notre souper. Le menu est varié et plusieurs autres assiettes nous appellent à y retourner. Et c'est un apportez votre vin, qui est très intéressant.
