I ate here a couple of times while on a long business trip to Lausanne, Switzerland. I was not too impressed with the dining scene in general. I was in the mood for Chinese and came here twice. The food was tasty. There was quite a variety of dining options on the menu. The service was fine. It is a typical Chinese restaurant. Tasty food that is fairly quick with simple service. What Mara Sutter doesn't like about la Jonque:
If you are in need of decent, Chinese-styled home cooking, you could do worse than this place, especially if you live (temporarily or otherwise) near the Delices metro stop. We have eaten there twice. Are we up for a third time? Maybe not. But it's not bad, and we could, if we found ourselves there, find something on the menu that we could eat without protest. That's more than we can say about many more popular and e... View all feedback.
If you want to eat some decent Chinese food, this place will not deceive you. Extensive list, fair portions, efficient service. Just a bit pricey.
Went with my mum for dinner together. Always wanted to try this restaurant. It's OK food, nothing special but quite expensive in my view. Service is OK, but not more. But they have vegetarian dishes quite good
I am Chinese and a dim sum lover. When I saw this restaurant on TripAdvisor, I made a reservation immediately. I got to know that the owner and the chef are from Hong Kong. The dim sum dishes are delicious and as authentic as they can be considering we are in Swiss limited Asian ingredients sold locally and so so SO hard to find a decent authentic Chinese restaurants here! The prices of the dim sum dishes are a bit on the expensive side but I enjoyed the meal and look forward to going back there again on a Sunday to try out the dim sum dishes that are on the weekend menu.

As lovers of Chinese food, its always hard outside major cities like London, West Coast US and Asia to find good Chinese food and expectations for Lausanne were low but Le Jonque exceeded expectations. Don't get me wrong this is no Hakkassan but food was better than the majority of Chinese restaurants we visit in Europe and the best so far in Lausanne. Roast duck was really excellent, as was the morning glory. Surroundings are little dated but the staff were professional and very friendly. I think this will be come a regular haunt well worth trying in Lausanne.
