HOWEVER due to feedback from a few friends, today I gave them another try. Well, I have to say it...was the best fish I have had in years. Perfect batter, REAL fish, cooked to perfection and the chips were good too. Highly recommended.

Fraggles, after he noticed that it had once again won a national ranking of fish and chip places, and frankly expects much better. after a long wait (to accept... read more Fraggles, after he noticed that it had once again won a national ranking of fish and chip places, and frankly expects much better. after a long wait (to accept whether the freshly boiled finished product is up to par), I received my serving of fish (flat head),...battered garne and chips, all smell from old cooking oil. the chips were of irregular size and bits and pieces, while the garnels were so severely broken the crust broken while biting, showed it in boiled oil. very common and openly disappointing taste. if this outfit won a national ranking, I could simply call four competing fish n chipperies in tasmania, whose whole experience and quality of their food is very much superior. I guess the lection for the unwary is not to believe the hype.
