Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant in Launceston offers a fully equipped vegan menu, although the vegan options seemed limited. The yellow curry with jasmine Thai was described as mild with a good amount of sauce, vegetables, and tofu. The staff was friendly and the location was central. However, some reviewers found the portion sizes to be small and overpriced. Additionally, some diners recommended trying other nearby vegan options owned by the same company for a wider variety of dishes. Overall, the atmosphere was bustling and popular, especially for takeaway orders, so arriving early is recommended to secure a table.
Came here with a few friends on our one-day stay in Lanceston, as the fully equipped Vegan Lotus Thai was closed on Monday night. I ordered the vegan option yellow curry with jasmine Thai. The curry was nicely mild and with a lot of sauce. Some vegetables and tofu. If you are after a good amount of Veg, one of the straps Friys could be a better option. However, none of them on the menu we identified as vegan and I was too tired to ask. The staff was friendly and the location is central. Updated by previous rating on 2022 09 29
I loved this place as Omni, but it offers only one or two dishes. They are delicious, but you are better to go to Lotus on the street (same owner and all vegan apparently) or Monsun next door.
Read the bad reviews, but see that it was Sunday night and not much was open thought I would go. Said the waitress I was vegan, she rushed into the kitchen to confirm what was vegan then came back to take the order. I ordered a Thai curry, but then this time she disappeared with a vegetarian menu. It had about 4 or 5 articles on it and was even more expensive than the meat cures! $20 for a vegetable stir fry (no tofu, only vegetables and no rice included! Also there was not what was vegan and at least one of the vegetarian dishes contained egg. Honestly, just do not disturb, this place does not even belong to HappyCow, the pub around the corner ended with better vegan options!
Buddha Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and until recently I'd only ever been here for breakfast.
