I have history with this place. Some good, some bad. Had I written this review a year ago, I would've given it two stars instead of four. The old staff wasn't as friendly or professional. This place was absolutely beautiful! I'm currently attending a class there, and I would definitely love to visit when their charming cafe is open. They have a lot of talented local artists!
I attended a holiday painting event there today. Although I lack artistic skills, the instructor was incredibly patient and did a great job of demonstrating techniques, providing instructions, and offering helpful tips.
As a first-time visitor, I really enjoyed this place. Lunch was excellent as well, especially at the nearby Ricilita's Cafe.
Love the place, it's beautiful and the art is great!
I have a complicated history with this place, both good and bad. If I had written this review a year ago, I would have rated it only two stars instead of four. The previous staff was not very welcoming or professional, and I often felt out of place there, despite being an artist. So, I decided to take a step back. However, one day, a fellow artist friend mentioned that there was a new director at the center who is around our age and very friendly. Curious, I decided to check it out again and rekindled my connection with the place. Michael, the new director, is an outstanding person who does a fantastic job running the art center smoothly. After our conversation, I felt more at ease and decided to participate in the next art show. Since then, I have been part of a couple of exhibitions, and I'm really glad I gave the Latrobe Art Center another chance.
