absolutely in love with this place! a hidden little jewel. Apart from the cool aesthetics, eating and service were excellent. really gives the authentic little business feeling, set with personal care and friendliness in it. we tried the Thai tea and mango-boba very well. the fried rice was so spicy and that was perfect, I would go with hot if they want extra spicy or no if they don't like dinge spicy. the black garl... While I wouldn’t consider myself an expert in Japanese cuisine, I can confidently say that this was not a good representation of it. I've dined at numerous Japanese restaurants in Japan and Little Tokyo in LA, and I even worked at one, making this experience the worst I've ever had. I really enjoyed the food; it was excellent and reasonably priced. We appreciated the layout and atmosphere as well. Thank you for your hospitality!
Excellent! The flavors are outstanding, especially the grilled dishes, and the ramen was also delicious. The mussels were tasty too. The staff was very polite and attentive.
The food was disappointing; the chicken was overcooked and had a texture more like pork, while the rice was poorly prepared. The service was acceptable, though the staff member was occasionally rude. On a positive note, the atmosphere was wonderful—very welcoming and cozy, especially with the beautifully decorated walls.
While I wouldn’t consider myself an expert in Japanese cuisine, I can confidently say that this was not a good representation of it. I've dined at numerous Japanese restaurants in Japan and Little Tokyo in LA, and I even worked at one, making this experience the worst I've ever had. The curry was definitely not authentic Japanese curry; it was bland and had an overwhelming flavor that resembled a mix of chili powder and soy sauce. As for the yakisoba, the noodles were overcooked to the point of being mushy, and the sauce had an off taste, as if something had spoiled. I'm truly disappointed that I wasted $30 on inedible food. I should also note that two other people I was with tried their dishes before I got mine, and they shared the same negative impression.
The chicken karaage was unbelievably good! We enjoyed everything about our experience. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for quick and delicious ramen.
