Food was good but for the money it wasn't up to the $300 price tag for 2 people in our opinion. We had seafood at Joes the night before wish we would have had our steak there. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Old Homestead:
Unfortunately, our meal was average at best. I ordered the 10oz filet and my wife ordered the scallops, they both came out quickly, to our surprise, however they both were cold. We just powered through and enjoyed our cocktails as they were nicely prepared. View all feedback.
Nice location within Caesars Palace and bar for people watching as you consume. We had very high expectations based on the History etc. The bar where we had a drink before dinner was also good. Taylor our server was excellent as were the Maytag Blue Cheese stuffed olives she used in my Martini, my wife had a Jordan Chardonnay but the tab was $69. Way tooo pricey for 2 drinks. So to dinner at a nice table for us to celebrate 54 years together. Unfortunately no linen but nice table. My wife ordered a glass of Chardonnay and I had a glass of bottled water, My wife ordered the Crab Cakes and I the 14 oz. NY Strip and a side of Bacon creamed spinach plus an order of Bearnaise sauce. The crab cakes were excellent. My steak though was so tough I had trouble cutting thru the sinue and chewing was tough. Really bad cut of meat. I complained twice yo our server Joe then the manager and they offered to change out for another cut but by then I was was losing my appetite. The spinach was stringy and poor taste. The 1/4 cup of bearnaise was cold and they offered another but that too was cold. All I can say is this is supposed to be 5 star. The chef should be ashamed to offer what was served. My fault for not asking him to come to the table and try what he created. The Tab was $197.22. I complained to the front desk and the manager to no avail. Not sure I would go back or recommend it. The bar was good though BUT again pricey. I have 13 Million miles on airlines from eating in the best restaurants in the world and I would say this place rated close to the bottom. So sorry.
Food was great, we had a reservation and were seated right away... just took a while to get water/drinks, and after we ordered our food, we waited quite some time for the food to come out. With so many food choices in Las Vegas, I probably won't go back.
We were pleasantly surprised on how amazing this steakhouse was! Nestled in the heart of Caesar's Palace, it is easy to get to, especially if you are going to a show at the Colosseum. Our servers were incredible, and the food was absolutely superb. We had the filet mignon and the Dore sole (de-boned at the table), and both were perfect. Sides are plentiful, the dessert was massive, and all in all, we had one of our best dining experiences in a long time! I wish I remembered our servers name, but I may have had too much wine, and don't remember for sure!!

I don't write reviews as I feel like sometimes it's bad moods of people vs the place, food service. My overall experience was just ok. I mean I guess it was the very pricey (in my opinion) food that was just mediocre at best. I was treating my husband to a nice dinner and we both left feeling like it was just ok. The meat was tasty but not the best we've ever had. One of our side dishes didn't arrive and when it did was cold. Our waiter was attentive, talkative and nice. He made the evening nice. Would not go back ?
