We came here at the last minute looking for a place to grab a quick dinner with great Google review rating. We were not disappointed. It is also great that they take online reservation. A few mouse clicks and a short drive later, we were seated. The place wasn't busy. Niu Gu translates to Cow's bone which naturally means their specialty is bone or beef related dishes. What LLC97 doesn't like about Niu Gu:
2nd visit here advise to order the lamb short rib together ordered cumin pork w chili not much flavor, had lots of pepper, chili shrimp has the shells on so if u are not familiar w eating shrimp that way dont order it. we had high hopes for this place.
The half of the elements in the menu were not available. eating was just ordinary portions too big
That was great and we could share our dishes. the staff were very friendly.
Large tasting Chinese cuisine made with high quality ingredients. the cook shows a lot of care and attention to the dish prep from the choice of ingredients to cook. not the cheapest Chinese food they can find, but every penny worth. they get what they pay for.
Every court we had was raised. the scallion chicken salad, tenderloin with laces and double chili shrimp. the size of the quality component would be the most discriminating. we also enjoyed the attentive service without any haste feeling, and suggestions we were given. I have reservations to try again in a week, more delicious dishes.
I had been craving Xia Long Bao for a long time and I am so happy we found this place. Even though there are similar restaurants with soup dumplings next door, I am glad we came here first. Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious. The flavors were amazing, bursting with taste. My son especially enjoyed the duck and noodles we ordered, and even my skeptical brother loved it and wanted more. I will definitely be returning. There was a 20-30 minute wait, but it was expected since it was 2-3pm. We were hungry, but it was definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend giving it a try.
