Oh this was one of the best places we visited!! The food was fantastic, generous portions and such a great variety. Vegan restaurant but the food is so good that even meat eaters will be impressed!! View all feedback.
As a meat eater with vegan friends, I was so impressed with how this place can make their meats mimic the real thing. I 've tried the chicken and the pork belly and just very impressed with not only with taste but texture. I will likely be in here more with my recent digestive problems. I was able to eat like a normal person when I 've been struggling to eat pretty much anything with gastritis and stomach ulcers the past 2 weeks. This place helped me get the vitamins and nutrition I needed so I ended up buying a second meal to go. Very flavorful, and our waitress was very friendly and helpful as I tried to customize a ramen bowl. She essentially said I can make it however I wanted and with these stomach issues that 's exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for the service and for helping me learn where to get the nutrition I need when I 've been struggling so much with this pain.
Chef Kenny is the best vegan Chinese food in Las Vegas. The service is fast, nice and knowledgeable. The place is cute definitely has his touch and style. If it's your first time go for the orange chicken it's ridiculous delicious. You won't miss the real thing.
Price: Most restaurants will charge you an arm and a leg just because they are serving vegan food. Chef Kenny’s entrées cost just about the same as entrées of other restaurants. I noticed recently some of the prices have gone up when they changed over to a slightly smaller menu. $9 for a fresh coconut is a little steep, so I didn’t get that this time. But entrees are all in $13-$17 range.Food: EVERYTHING IS VEGAN! Spicy Crispy Beef is my ULTIMATE FAVORITE. The roti appetizer is served with curry. Chicken is a must try as well! Seaweed salad was super fresh. I’m not a huge fried rice person, but the fried rice was super flavorful. Curry chicken was a hit I preferred the chicken here instead of the fried. I like the outside (crispy part) of the fried chicken, but the consistency of the inside was a little strange for me. I heard the pork belly ramen was delicious. All in all, there were five of us, and everyone had their own favorites.Service: Don, Sandy, and the crew is always very kind. Belinda helped me before and she was super sweet as well. Chef Kenny is usually in the building and will come out to check in with guests as well.Environment: We originally was going to go to dim sum but it being Mother’s Day, we were worried we would be in line for hours. We arrived at Chef Kenny’s at 11:30am when they opened and was able to get seated immediately. Restaurant is very family oriented and everyone is very nice. Seating is cozy but comfortable and have enough space. I had my 30th birthday party here a few years back and that was a blast too.NTT Next Time Try : I come here quite often so I’ve personally tried just about everything… I’ve also brought people that are not vegan here, and they fell in love with this place too. Try it all and tell me all about it.Make it a great day, make good choices! xo
The place is small but mighty. The food here is soooooooo good. I had the fried chicken ramen and the orange chicken. The orange chicken was the star. I came back a second day. The portions are great for the price. The staff was friendly. The food didn't take long but you could tell it was fresh. The orange chicken is honestly top tier to the point I got some for my flight back home lol
I think I came here during an awkward phase. Chef Kenny's Asian Vegan restaurant is changing, and I'm not sure what to make of it. The Sushi/Roll menu featuring some of their most popularly pictured items is now gone. In its place is an American cafe menu consisting of fried chicken and burgers. Flip to the back page, and the Chinese/other Asian dishes are still available. I ordered the vegan Singapore Hainanese Ginger Chicken with Coconut Rice and the vegan Spicy Crispy Beef. The Hainan Chicken, seitan wrapped in tofu skin, was on-point for texture and taste. The coconut rice was aromatic without being too rich. The plate came with a zingy ginger sauce, but if it had 1 more sauce for variety, it would better elicit the feeling of this classic dish. The vegan Spicy Crispy Beef was satisfyingly savory but quickly became monotonous. The crushed peanuts were a fun touch, but it needed more ingredients for visual and gustatory appeal. Something as simple as shredded carrots would have made it more enticing. I wonder if all efforts are being diverted to the Vegan Cafe menu, but what would compel me to get an Impossible/Beyond burger here over one from Plant Power whose proteins are proprietary? Or ChagaRoot whose mushrooms are grown locally? Reinvention comes with the burden of showing that the new thing you do is as special as the old thing that made you renowned. I hope Chef Kenny's Vegan Cafe finds its way to the top the same way his Asian Vegan restaurant did.
