this place is a hidden gem. I had the thai summer salad rolls, full of healthy greens, and the taro latte, with soy milk, served warm. updated by previous review on 20210410 View all feedback.
What Marina S Monica doesn't like about Baby Birds:
The menu could offer more variety. It seems like they cater mainly to customers with a higher economic status, overlooking others who may not fit that mold. The ambiance is lovely and the food presentation is impressive. However, they could improve in treating all customers with equal respect, regardless of their appearance. View all feedback.
I’m not picky and long as the food is good and the vibe is nice that’s all that matters to me. I got the avocado toast which was solid and my latte was on point. It’s a good place to chill and enjoy yourself in the morning with some coffee. If you like coffee shops add this to your list.
Pros: Nice location by the lake. Interior is very pretty.Cons: I ordered the spicy tofu salad and although the salad looked pretty, I could tell they just opened a pack of tofu, cut it in to cubes, squirted some sriracha over it and then placed it cold on my salad. I asked if they could cook or fry the tofu, but they told me they wouldn’t as it would change the texture of the tofu. That’s exactly what I wanted, a crunchy, warm and textured tofu. I ended up not eating any of the salad and just placed it in to my compost bin at home. My suggestion would be to actually care about how the tofu tastes and feels. A squirt of sriracha over cold cubes does not a marinated tofu make. The salad was the supermodel of salads, pretty on the outside, but disappointing and left to die on the inside.Vegetarian options: Vegan-friendlyDietary restrictions: Vegan-friendly
As someone who isn’t vegan, I did thoroughly enjoy the spring rolls surprisingly. I have never seen any that had edible flower petals in them before. The sauce served with them absolutely made it! The taro frappe and matcha latte were also really good. My wife liked the flan as well. I also enjoyed the decor very much, and I am absolutely sure my wife and I will return in the future.
I would give more stars if possible, this place is such a beautiful, cozy place. It feels like you are away from Vegas. The food was delicious, the drinks were so good as well and the service was just outstanding. Im planning to come back with my husband for a lunch date.We ordered the prosciutto, salmon and energy toast. I got a chai latte and my friend a lychee tea. Everything was so yummy.
A great little cafe with a nice view of the water. The service and atmosphere were nice and gave a waterfront atmosphere in the desert. The food tastes and looks good.
