Quiet get away. Some would say it is old and outdated, but I Love the feel of the Palm Hotel. It reminds me of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico...even has a Tobacco Shop. Restaurant/Bar on premises had fair food. Ceviche appetizer is great. Make sure to order the Cadillac Margarita!!. Then just walk back to the room and pass out! View all feedback.
What M G doesn't like about Sapphire:
Very limited menu with random items. Extremely long wait for food. The worst wait service I had to go to the bar just to get a refill on water. The food was like airline food at best enchiladas were 3 tortillas stacked with lots of sauce and hardly any cheese, sticky spanish rice with BAKED BEANS; and DRY chicken, oily overcooked asparagus and they didn 't even have a baked potato at 6pm! Might have been the worst me... View all feedback.
The food is excellent—I've never been disappointed. I highly recommend the pulled pork sliders and the apple pie à la mode. These are a must-try if you're in the area. The atmosphere is classy and fabulous!
The ceviche was abundant and fresh, enhanced by the vibrant jalapeño pepper pico de gallo. As for the cocktail, The Vampire's Kiss, it truly took me to another level of experience. We also savored our desserts, which included the choco flan—an excellent serving of flan atop a rich and moist chocolate cake—and the cherry and mixed berry tart. I appreciate the ambiance of the restaurant, with its high ceilings and charming adobe walls.
A peaceful retreat. Some might consider it old-fashioned, but I truly appreciate the charm of the Palm Hotel. It brings to mind the ambiance of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, and even features a tobacco shop. The restaurant and bar on-site offer decent food, with the ceviche appetizer being a standout. Definitely order the Cadillac Margarita! Afterward, just stroll back to your room and relax!
The menu was quite limited, featuring an odd selection of items. I experienced an incredibly long wait for the food, and the service was the worst I've encountered—I had to go to the bar just to ask for a water refill. The food resembled airline meals at best: the enchiladas were simply three tortillas stacked with an excessive amount of sauce and barely any cheese; the Spanish rice was sticky and accompanied by baked beans; the chicken was dry; and the asparagus was oily and overcooked. To top it off, they didn’t even have a baked potato available at 6 PM! Overall, it might have been the worst meal I’ve ever had.
This place was not what I expected, based on their previous reviews and the description. The menu was typical tax-mex American, nothing Asian fusion about it. That being said, the black and Bleu burger was delicious, the perfect size. My wife asked for a watermelon Margarita, and the bartender said she had never heard of one but managed to craft one that was very good. However the service was slow and disorganized. I feel this place is more bar centered than food centered currently. Maybe this was because it was Friday night?
