Habanero's Fresh Mex - Las Cruces

This place is great huge selection. Very tasty food freshly made. The owner is delightful and super helpful and friendly. I especially love that they have many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, which is pretty unusual for a Mexican restaurant in Las Cruces, this places is very accommodating. They do not use lard in their beans and offer lots of choices. It’s obvious that they take pride as the food is quality. We sat out on the patio. It was nicely, shaded, clean, and comfortable. Usually, we get takeout or delivery from here, but today we ate in for the first time and now I know I will be eating here more often. We loved everything. Also the welcome soup is so tasty, which is included with your meal. They had two kinds of soups Fideo with beans and also a lentil soup, vegan. The homemade salsa is delicious. We also asked for and tried their homemade habanero salsa for lots of extra heat and it was perfect. If you love Mexican food and also have any Vegetarian, vegan or gluten free friends or family, this is your absolutely best option for Mexican food in Las Cruces as they have something for everyone and the food will satisfy the carnivores and vegans. Prices are very reasonable too.Vegetarian options: There are many vegan vegetarian options to choose from, I’ve worked my way through many of the vegetarian vegan options and have been very happy with everything I’ve had here.Dietary restrictions: The owner is very knowledgeable about vegan vegetarian and gluten-free and will happily accommodate your needs. Lots of options on the menu clearly labeled.

Place is nice inside and food is very good and exceptionally flavorful. Person taking orders was cold and unfriendly this aspect could be improved.

Awesome food! They have a vegan section on their menu. They also have a “Welcome Soup” that is vegan and tastes so good, lentils were on point. They also allow your dogs to chill with you on the porch while you eat, great for us because we live in a van and we’re traveling through. Only downfall I’d say is maybe wish the bean burrito plate was a dollar or two cheaper, simply because it’s just beans and rice with tortilla. But hey, it was freaking good so no real complaints! Was supper excited to find they offered some vegan options. We ordered the veggie burrito that came with beans and rice and it was so good. The veggies were very tasty. Got it to go but the restaurant looked super cute. Great place to stop on our road trip.Vegetarian options: Burritos, tacos enchiladas
