Corner Deli - Las Cruces

Excellent sandwiches! So many options! Everything is always fresh, with on-time delivery, and outstanding/friendly service.

A REAL NICE LITTLE SANDWICH SHOP<br/ <br/ The Corner Deli at the corner of Madrid and Solano is one of the better delis or sandwich shops around Las Cruces. It is bright and clean inside and there are many comfortable booths.....as of 2018, all in good repair. The ambiance is fine for quick, casual dining. You order at the counter from the big board overhead and they bring the food out to your table. I have always had my meals prepared quickly. During the numerous times I've dined at the Corner Deli the staff has always been efficient and pleasant. I have no idea where some of the service complaints come from???? I have never experienced any problems. But, this is the internet. We all realize that a lot of folks posting here need some introspection.<br/ <br/ The Corner Deli menu is quite extensive and they use a lot of Boars Head products. Cold and hot subs are available from pastrami to Italian sausage, meatball subs to Philly cheesesteaks, from turkey subs to tuna melts, from cajun chicken to southwestern chicken sandwiches. And, of course, they offer several sizes to fit your budget. The prices are very reasonable. And they of course dress up the sandwiches the way you want them.<br/ <br/ Most recently I ordered a large number eight (8) sub (capicola, genoa salami, and provolone with green peppers, onions, shredded lettuce, a little mayo and mustard. It came with a soft drink and the total cost (2018) was about $8.00. A great deal. <br/ <br/ The sandwich roll is broader than many places serve them, e.g. Subway. I have always felt that the bread used at the Corner Deli is a little thick and dense, but it is fresh and flavorful.  They put a lot of cheese in that number 8 sandwich and a fair amount of meat. The ingredients were all fresh. This was a very good Italian sub-sandwich.  They will put vinegar and oil, oregano, black pepper, etc on the sub upon request.  In the past I tried a Philly and found it sort of average....but I look forward to trying it once again. <br/ <br/ What to expect if you go: A nice, little, clean and comfortable sandwich shop with very efficient service, a large variety of sandwiches dressed up the way you want them, and very good sandwiches at reasonable prices. They do offer numerous size options. <br/ <br/ Restaurant rating THREE-AND-THREE QUARTER STARS.....meaning, ABOVE AVERAGE for the overall dining experience and sandwich quality. I like it.

Miss my pastrami corned beef Reuben combo. Best ever. Go Raiders boss.
