This is a very typical French rural bar and restaurant, open at lunchtime during the the week and Saturday and Sunday evenings. Sunday is take away pizza only. The weekday is a set menu, €12 for a limited buffet to start, main dish, cheese, simple dessert, coffee and a 1/4 carafe of either wine or cider (Both were very pleasant). All very nice and served by the very friendly owners, a little English is spoken, worth a visit.
If you like steak this is the place to come. They also do huge pizzas to eat in or take away but the steak is the star, served with different sauces or just plain. Very quiet if you go early but can get busy later on.
We stayed in a Gite on the outskirts of Larchamp and ate here one night. It was superb. We both had steak which was very good indeed, tender and lean. They also do a variety of pizzas either to eat-in or take away. The ones we saw others eating looked really nice. The owner spoke good English and was able to understand the concept of eating 'Gluten Free' which was great as one of us is coeliac. Service was very good, as were prices - a 75cl carafe of red wine was only €9 and it was excellent. When we finished the hosts even offered to drive us back to the Gite - that's what I call service! Can't wait to go back there.
