I saw the pictures and read the reviews, but I was still very pleasantly surprised by how great the grounds and the rooms were. What I didn't count on was eating dinner here, which I'm so glad we did. It was a top notch french dinner, better than almost all the dinners I've had in Paris. We stayed here after a day of touring Mont saint Michel, which I was worried would be too far away but I was glad to be out of the... View all feedback.
What qqtt doesn't like about Chateau du Bois-Guy:
This is the first time ever I qualify a restaurant as horrible. This place charged us 250€ for 4 persons, which we would gladly have paid if the food had been fine... but it wasn't. We had a three course meal : for starters, two scallops cut in four, main course: supermarket steak with chopped broccoli or vacuum salmon with carrot... Dessert: creme brulee or tiramisu... This was supposedly a gastronomic meal. We feel... View all feedback.
An amazing chateau in Normandia. Great structure, excellent restaurant, owners are amazing. We got an eco lodge that was incredible!
We stayed here for one night. Wonderful location. So peaceful. Quirky interior which was a surprise but it worked well. Food was very good with excellent breakfast. When we arrived we weren’t expected. Whilst we had confirmation in writing there had been a communication problem with the booking agents. However it was all dealt with very professionally and we were allocated the last room. The service was first class.

This was supposedly a gastronomic meal. We feel cheated. The service was lousy , they served the rosé wine 20 minutes before the main course. So the wine was warm when the meat arrived. Run away from this place...
We booked for Sunday lunch, as it’s the only lunchtime service during the week, and enjoyed a beautiful sunny day admiring the grounds, the chapel, and the chateau. We tried the €45 3-course meal. Loved the focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients. All beautifully cooked. A little pricey to make it a regular venue for us, but will return.
I was invited to a wedding in château du Bois Guy, the food was litterally amazing, service outstanding.
