Mid week set lunch, and the Fred's fabulous ravioli to start an a la carte Sunday lunch with friends from London. All great, as expected. Keep up the good work!
Mid December darkest Aquitaine, my wife's birthday, Laparade just up the hill from home, La Panorama and lunch a beacon of light and epicurean joy.Yes it is local, yes we go 3 or 4 times a year but the restaurant has simple elegance, the welcome is friendly and genuine and the food is good French cooking beautifully presented. Today we started with voie gras ravioli, followed by duck cooked in the local way then apple tart and coffee gourmand. All were beautifully tasty and perfectly cooked. A bottle of the local Buzet was an excellent accompaniment. The cost (including aperitifs an coffee) was less than 100 euros.Every time we dine at Le Panorama we are reminded just how fortunate we are to have such a great restaurant so close to home.
No ravioli or Fredburger for me - what a catastrophy! I cycled 12km looking forward to yet another satisfying lunch and Le Panorama only to be cruelly thwarted. I will be back.............
We came across this place but could not get in for lunch so booked for dinner. The food is typical local produce cooked well and served in a beautiful, atmospheric setting; as the name suggests there are great views. Well worth a visit.
