Great food, service and an excellent selecti... read more Visited Laon for a weekend stay with my wife. Saw this old town restaurant on TripAdvisor and was not disappointed. Great food, service and an excellent selection of belgian beers. Ordered a couple of burgers, best i've had. Given a complimentary drink on paying the bill (which was fantastic value). Highly recommended, worth the walk up the 300+ stairs to the old town lol

Was with out 2 and 4 year old and was great to see them tucking in to chicken and mash. Husband took a burger (great) and I had the duck salad- amazing and prompted me to write this review. Finished off with a coffee and the best chocolate eclair I've ever had!!!

We loved the interior it’s a Beer enthusiasts dream loads of memorabilia and an impressive beer selection all of it is on if you like Belgian beers you will love it I tried the local brews excellent too, also good wine choices. As for food you can see the menu great selection of burgers I went for andouillette very well cooked! All in all a great choice def worth a detour if you are nearby!

Right from the start , as soon as we sat down and looked at all the signs and advertisements on the walls, we knew that we were in a place heavily influenced by its Belgian leanings. After a jug of cold water and a couple of Jupiter beers we studied the extensive table mat menus and made our choices my wife went for the 'Escalope de poulet a la crème ' and I chose the, as it turned out , appropriately named 'Burger gourmand '. Having eventually made our way through the suitably generous portions, we finished the meal with a couple of 'Café petit ' black coffees. Altogether a very satisfactory lunch experience, topped of with a complimentary cold shot of pear and cognac liqueur straight from the freezer excellent.
