They... read more I had a fantastic experience! I ordered pizza for a work event that needed to cater to a variety of dietary preferences, from gluten-free to vegan options. They were more than capable of accommodating us and served delicious pizza that everyone enjoyed. A standout for us was how much we loved the pizzeria! We will definitely be trying some of their other creations in the future.

I tried the chicken and waffle pizza (yes, you read that right), and it was almost a religious experience. The unique flavor of the crab Rangoon pizza had me feeling like I was experiencing my own "When Harry Met Sally" moment. Overall, I really love this place—great food, wonderful staff, and the owners are welcoming and friendly. It's a win-win for everyone. Note: I wrote this review of my own free will, haha!

If I had a smaller complaint, it would be if I took over the old subway, the layout of the building does not seem to be very beneficial so that people are in register and look at the menu. I'm sure that'll be found out, and it's a smaller thing. pizza is great! the personal is great!

Wh... read more I'm shocked that I'm the first to review Slice by Saddleback on Yelp! What an honor! If you remember Detroit Frankie's pizza in Lansing, you will LOVE Slice! When Detroit Frankie's decided to close up shop, Saddleback BBQ purchased the business and kept their amazing original recipes so we all could continue to enjoy a pizzeria that we had grown to love over the years. They serve New York style, thin crust, wood fired, pizza and it is awesome! You can build your own pizza, chose from their specialty menu, or take advantage of their daily slice specials. When building your own, it is tempting to want to add a ton of toppings, but I highly recommend sticking to 3-5 for the best assembly/cook. If you pick from their specialty list, you can choose two different kinds but it's best if you pick two with the same sauce base. We tried half #2 (BBQ Pork) and half #12 (BBQ chicken jalapeño) and both were excellent. Single slices are a quarter of a 14 pizza, so it is a pretty big slice. I tried the pickle pizza and it was different, but good. My significant other had a supreme slice, his friend tried cheese and pepperoni slices, and there were no complaints. You can also add 2 breadsticks to a single slice for a couple bucks to make it a combo if you don't want to get a full order of sticks, but we opted for the full order. We tried the feta cheese bread, too, and it was garlicky and delicious. Their marinara sauce is excellent as well. We can't wait to come back again to try other pizzas, jammer bread, and smoked chicken wings!
