Could tell we weren't very welcome there but the owner or bartender boss whatever he was was very professional and helpful he got us our dreams our food and sent us on our way in the most polite way he could. I would return to this bar again if need beit wouldn't be my first choice but it wouldn't be a bad choice either.
If looking for a tavern that the locals love, this is it. Lots of friendly regulars, good bartenders, cold drinks and comfortable atmosphere. We have gone back every time in Lansing. No outside sitting at this bar.
We have been coming to Lansing for years but never stopped at the Other place mostly because we had teenagers with us. Last night I told my hubby we should check it out. They were following the social distancing and cleaning policies. The bar staffmade for a very fun atmosphere. Loved they were collecting donations for Cedar Rapids for Iowa?s huge August storm. Definitelywill be back!
I've visited 20 different countries and 48 states, and I've lost count of how many pubs and shows I've experienced. Yet, I can confidently say that the OP is where I've heard the best bands and had the most unforgettable experiences.
Always a great time! Jeff and the staff make you feel welcomed. They have the best jukebox featuring blues, classic rock, and more. Plus, it's very affordable. I love the music at Thee OP!
