Nestled off Hunt Club, this restaurant offers a unique blend of BBQ and Vietnamese cuisine that sparks curiosity. While its hours may pose challenges for working patrons, the tantalizing menu compensates. Diners rave about the Big Gobbler sandwich, featuring flavorful smoked turkey, while the banh mi highlights fresh ingredients and perfectly smoked brisket. However, quality inconsistencies have been noted, particularly with sandwiches. Service experiences vary; some customers find staff engagement lacking, yet others highlight friendly service. Overall, this eatery presents an intriguing mix, making it well worth a visit for enthusiasts of both culinary styles.

Was Raq at Capital City Bbq a mag?
My partner and I have come here quite a few times for lunch. We have never been disappointed. My favorite sandwich is the Big Gobbler. The smoked turkey always has a great flavor and is never dry. Adding bleu cheese, BBQ sauce, red onion, and apple slices makes for an amazing sandwich. I highly recommend the Big Gobbler, or anything on the menu really. View all feedback.
What Michael Schuett dislikes about Capital City Bbq:
It's ok, they have the items many other stores don't have, the prices reflect that a little high . Hours are poor. They are open until 5pm on weekdays. Located just off Hunt Club it's tough for a working person to shop there after work in that rush hour traffic. View all feedback.
Lin/Lynn (I didn't catch the spelling) is such a sweet lil angel. I'm one of those people who has that cilantro/soap gene and I've been trying to microdose it to get used to it.. the brisket banh mi is the first thing I've ever had where I actually enjoyed it. The fries are like carnival fries, they're so good. I ate too many. She also sold us on a piece of the brownie cheesecake (she makes them all herself, she had lemon, biscoff, brownie, mint, and piña colada- with the frickin Malibu rum in it) and she came out to ask how it was. She stood there and watched while I took a bite with this smug look on her face and went back to the kitchen cheesin'. I love her. This place rules, everything is amazing here.
SO GOOD. Took a little bit to get the food, but they make it fresh for you. The owner came out and checked in and was very friendly. Absolutely recommend!
Open Monday through Friday, the lady makes everything in house, so be patient the wait will be worth it. The banh mi was probably the best I've ever had, with the crusty baguette. I've gotten pork myself, but my husband got the brisket talk about the best of both worlds! The pineapple upside cheesecake was fantastic as well. Definitely will be a frequent patron.
Closed during posted open hours the last three times we tried to call or walk in. Really like the food and wish it were consistently available.
Definitely one of the best Banh Mi sandwiches I've ever had. The baguette was perfect and the brisket was super tender with the right amount of smoke and the fresh veggies balanced the richness of the meat. Plus the owner is so nice.
