We came in for Sunday brunch and were thoroughly impressed. Given the great reviews, we had some high expectations but even those were blown away. Our waitress was took great care of us ensuring our glasses/mugs were full and our bellies happy. Ihave already been raving about this place to friends and co workers. View all feedback.

I was expecting excellent, especially after reading the reviews and seeing the prices. The food was just okay. For starters they do not have a kid?s menu and I decided to brunch with my 4 year old -1 star). She had chicken and pancakes there was no Frenchtoast available that day). The chicken seemed a bit over cooked too crisp) -1 star), however, the pancakes were good +1star). The salmon bites and sauce were extremely delicious +2 stars). I had the salmon with spinach and grits which was justokay. I was nervous when it came out because it looked very soupy and I did not see grits nor a lot of spinach it had to bemixed together) +1 star). We also ordered lobster mac and cheese to go I didn?t get a photo) which was very disappointing tosay the least. It was made with all claw meat -2 stars) and just not that good compared to other restaurants that I?ve tried.Lastly, the mimosas, environment and DJ were enjoyable especially since the music was censored) +3 stars). The service wasgood as well. Overall, it was okay. I always advise everyone to experience for themselves because it wasn?t the worst, I wasjust expecting better. I would probably go again if someone asked me to, however, I?m not eager to rush back when there are somany other great options in the DMV area. Not a fav.

I?ve been here twice and the food is consistently good! The French toast is different than most I?ve tried. It?s more like dessert, you don?t need syrup! Everything was super flavorful! Definitely want to try other dishes.

The chef is a friend of a friend and prepared a meal for us after hours for 40 people. It was a surprise birthday dinner for my friend, and he crafted a fantastic menu that everyone paid for in advance to ensure we had an accurate head count. I had the Summer Berry Salad, Blackened Salmon with Spinach, and Potatoes with Cajun cream sauce, followed by a delicious rum cake—so good! My friend and I coordinated our orders to share each course, so I also got to taste the Chicken Wings, Waffles, and Red Velvet Cake. Everything was amazing!

We visited Kitchen Cray Cafe for Sunday brunch and were absolutely impressed. With all the positive reviews, we had high expectations, but the experience exceeded them. Our waitress was attentive, keeping our glasses and mugs filled and making sure we left satisfied. I've already been recommending this place to friends and coworkers.

I had been wanting to visit Kitchen Cray Cafe ever since I saw it featured on a Food Network show. The restaurant is tucked away in an industrial park, and as soon as you step inside, you're welcomed by soothing music. The dark butcher block tables add a cool, rustic touch to the space. You can choose to dine in, take out, or have your meal delivered through popular services. When I arrived around 10:15 a.m., it was quiet, but it quickly began to fill up. I was lucky to snag a high-top window seat. I ordered the Blackened Salmon, served over your choice of mashed potatoes or cheesy grits, topped with spinach and a garlic cream sauce. The grits were perfectly creamy—it's rare to find grits done just right, but Kitchen Cray nailed it. The salmon had a light sear on the outside and was tender and velvety on the inside. With all the textures and flavors, I almost forgot to mention how perfectly seasoned the salmon was. The portion was generous; I only managed to eat half and took the rest home for a late lunch. The flavors actually tasted even better the second time around. I will definitely be returning. Just be sure to check their hours before you go—today they were open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
