What Angel Crawford dislikes about Hook Reel Cajun Seafood:
We visited Hook Reel Cajun Seafood for dinner on a Friday night around 7:45 pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and we were seated in a back corner right away. However, after waiting 15-20 minutes, multiple servers walked past our table without acknowledging us. As a minority couple, we felt uncomfortable and overlooked, especially since the restaurant was mostly empty. Due to this experience, we decided to leave and wil... View all feedback.

Food was so off the chain we went back twice during our 4 day visit to DC! Don 't get the fire broil unless you are truly ready to feel the spicy heat... happy hour prices are decent. A true getting messy spot....they provide bibs, gloves, and wipes... definitely a good experience overall. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
I've been here twice...both decent experiences. The last time the food was good and our waitress was great. At the end of the meal we heard a woman loudly complaining about one of the gentlemen clearing the table. She became increasingly louder as shekept talking. Come to find out she worked here and was referring to her own co worker! At no time did a manager come over toaddress the incident. Uncomfortable end to an other wise good meal.
This was my first time ordering from Hook and Reel. I was notified that my order would be ready around 2:34 pm. I arrived around 2:30 and the staff who were all pleasant and helpful) let me know my order was still be prepared. No problem, I knew I was alittle early. I patiently waited. After about 10 minutes, one of the staff a young lady) went to go check on my order. Uponreturning, the young lady said they were still working on my order. At this time, I started to wonder if something was wrongbecause a lot of people were coming in including Door Dash drivers and getting there food and leaving. I then double checked tomake sure that she had my name correct and order number. She confirmed and pointed to the ticket with my name on it. Doing thisentire time I am making sure that the young lady can see that I was still waiting for my order. It was now 2:55 and my orderwas still not ready. So it seemed. I got up from where I was sitting in the entry way and a young man who was working at thefront too said to me, ?you are still here.? I responses yes and he asked me my name and walked over to see if my order wasready. Apparently, my order had been sitting there for 10-15 minutes and the young lady didn?t realize that she had brought myorder out from the kitchen. Fortunately, the food was still warm. I appreciate the young man checking on me and realizing that Ihad been there for a while. My wife and I both got a crab boil. Unfortunately, my wife?s muscles and shrimp were over cookedand lacked flavor. She ordered it spicy. She liked the crab. As for my meal, the snow crab legs were good. My shrimp was overcooked. The corn, potatoes, and hard boiled egg were ok. I had the garlic butter sauce. It was weird, there was hardly a tasteof butter or garlic even though it was a lot of sauce. I really wanted this to be a good meal for us, but it wasn?t. I?ve neverhad a crab boil that lacked flavor. I want to repeat that even with the mishap with waiting for my
