We tried the butte... read more A hidden gem next to the motel, GK's Restaurant is a pleasant surprise with its cozy decor, friendly service, and diverse menu of sandwiches. We tried the butter chicken, chicken with mushrooms, and grilled cheese, all of which were excellent. The dishes were beautifully presented and expertly cooked, with perfectly steamed vegetables and delicious aromas. The butter chicken was authentic and well-balanced in terms of spiciness. GK's values the local ingredients of Saskatoon, and I will definitely make a return visit to this gem.

I hate to give a negative review since I know people are pushing so hard to keep this in town, but I was disappointed. I had the grilled cheese and I have to say that I make way better at home. His was dry (like I need several glasses of your sketchy tasting water kind of dry) and bland. The rest of my party seemed to enjoy though. Took him forever to get the food out. I'm afraid that the sudden influx of people coming in so he won't leave isn't sustainable for his success. He needs to put a little more effort in. I don't think half the town knows he exists, needs to do more advertising... I don't think he's much of a businessman. Very very small restaurant too.

This might just be... read more I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is amazing and the warm service is so inviting. Though the space is small, the flavors are huge. This might just be the best meatloaf I've ever tasted, and my wife can't get enough of the Beef Dip. We have visited many times and have never been let down.

Despite its humble exterior, the inside is beautifully decorated and the staff are welcoming. The menu offers a wide range of options, from sandwiches to dinner entrees. We tried the butter chicken, chicken champignons, and grilled cheese, all of which were delicious. The dishes were presented beautifully and the flavors were outstanding. The butter chicken was authentic and not too spicy. It's definitely worth the drive from Saskatoon and I will make sure to stop by GK's on future travels.
