The restaurant is located in an old mill and is surrounded by a beautiful forest. We had a nice evening here while we received some tasty food. We’ve ordered beef and salmon . At the end we received from the house austrian pancakes. Forgot to mention the strawberry sorbet.

Last Saturday were invited by a befriended couple. When we came in, the staff immediately took our jackets and welcomed us to the restaurant. In general, the service was excellent, very kind, attentive and warm-hearted. We ate beef filets there, which were perfectly cooked. We especially enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and the superb service. We would highly recommend this restaurant and are even planning to celebrate my birthday at this lovely location next summer. Hopefully the service will continue to be that excellent.

We decided to go for lunch at the Merzenmuhle. It is very nicely located and everything looks impeccable. The lunch for €14 offers a soup of the day and a choice from the three main dishes of the lunch menu (meat, fish or vegetarian). Although I don't really like gazpacho the quality of the soup was good. Sadly the main course meat turned out to be sold out and because we ordered at the start matching wines this was more than a disappointing announcement. The quality of the fish and vegetarian dish was good although some bread lacked to fully enjoy the sauce. A glass of wine turned to be 0,2 litre of wine which was not only more than expected, but also became more expensive: €7, per person. With a final bill of €42 we ended up paying more than we had anticipated while the visit didn't fully match our expectations.

This restaurant is located a few kilometers outside of Langen in an old mill. The location is within an hour of the Frankfurt airport. We stopped on our way to the airport prior to checking into the Steigenberger airport Hotel for our last night. We were traveling by car from France and the restaurant is near exit 20 (Offenthaler Landstrasse) on the Autobahn A661 near Langen, Germany. The restaurant opens at 6:00 pm. We were about 30 minutes early and they happily seated us and served drinks, until the kitchen opened about 30 minutes later. The menu changes frequently and they offer a la carte and multi course options. A three course meal without drinks is about Euro 50. The ingredients include fresh local produce, meats and fresh fish. The garlic soup, goose liver pate, duck breast and tafelspitz were all excellent. The preparation, taste and presentation rivals many gourmet restaurants in Vienna. There is a more casual Austrian style restaurant (Scheuer) next door, with a beer garden, that also serves Vienna Heurigen wine and Hessian apple wine along with more traditional German food, like Schnitzel. We did not try it, but it appeared quite popular.

Went there with some colleagues and truly had an enjoyable evening rather small but sufficient menue, quality instead of quantity great starters, especially the sword fish with wasabi filet as main course also was excellent, hard choice since the Tafelspitz was also very tempting friendly and attentive service filet as the main selection was outstanding wine selection shows the owner 's heritage, he is austrian (from vienna to be accurate! we had a banfalu cuvee from Sepp Moser Krombacher Pils on tab, comes at the right temperature and goes down good easy to find and parking is no problem surely we will be back
