We came into Langaise by accident really, but were seriously impressed by the castle and the environs. Right opposite the castle entrance is Maison Rabelais, itself a quaint and impressive old building. The cafe is nicely laid out and staff are very pleasant. We only ordered coffee and cakes but it was most pleasant. Great little find! View all feedback.
What Norma Witting doesn't like about Maison Rabelais:
we bought two pastries that attracted us visually, that she was visually happy. Unfortunately to the tasting the happiness disappeared to reveal a feeling of unfinished. So we found the taste of violet in the first but just purple nothing else. but the great disappointment for the raspberry mango. no flavor finds this damage. these damages really because your pastries are very attractive visually, but for two dessert... One of my 2 favourite cake shops/tea rooms in the world (and the other isn't far away) and a must for any visit to the area. The display of cakes in the window is always very impressive and they taste as good as they look. The chocolates are also worth sampling. Can't wait till I can visit again
