I stopped by with my kids to check out this restaurant nearby and also because we were hungry. We had delicious and affordable burgers. They only had one chicken burger available, so they gave me a double beef burger instead after confirming it was okay with me. The beer was good too. Overall, it's a great place with good value, friendly service, and I would definitely come back when in the area.
My brother Stephen and I stumbled upon this charming pub on a cold, rainy afternoon and it turned out to be a great discovery. The pub, which dates back to 1901 and is housed in a beautiful late Victorian era building, has a fantastic interior with multiple rooms, a traditional serving bar, pub-style decor, TVs and big screens for sports, and plenty of seating options. The staff were very welcoming and friendly when we visited on a Tuesday afternoon. We ordered some pale ales from Thwaites Brewery at the bar and they were served in perfect condition. We enjoyed our drinks by the cozy log fire, taking in the warm atmosphere and savoring the delicious, malty ales with hints of chestnut. It was a great experience being in such a lovely pub and we both had a wonderful time. The Bowerham Pub is located on Bowerham Road and is open from midday until 11pm every day. I highly recommend stopping by this wonderful pub if you're in the area or planning a visit to Lancaster.
The Bowerham Hotel is a fantastic local pub located on Bowerham Road, offering a delicious menu of food and drinks. Housed in a historic building dating back to 1901, originally built as a hotel, the pub has a recently renovated interior with exposed brick walls, original fixtures, and a cozy open fire. With a darts board, pool tables, jazz nights, live music events, and quiz nights, there is something for everyone at this pub. We stopped by on our way to the Lancaster brewery and enjoyed some perfectly served Thwaites brewery cask ales. Conveniently located just a minute's walk from the Bowerham Hotel bus stop, this pub is definitely worth a visit. Opening hours are from 12:00 to 23:00 every day. This was our first visit to the Bowerham Hotel and we were very impressed.
Amazing fresh home cooked food!! The pizza is great and amazing for Sunday lunch!! Service with a smile!
I recently visited this pub after it was renovated and have mixed feelings about my experience. The building is lovely and the interior is nicely decorated. However, the TV was on at a very loud volume, showing rugby. I was hoping for a quiet drink after the game ended, but then a group started a 21st birthday celebration with loud music. I don't want to spoil the fun, but sometimes I just want to enjoy a quiet drink and I'm not sure if this place will meet that expectation. I may try again during the week to see if the atmosphere improves, but if not, I don't think we will be returning.
