I must have passed on several occasions without noticing the cafe. That changed a few weeks ago, and I have now visited on the three occasions when I have found myself in Lancaster between trains. Each time it has been coffee and cake, which have been excellent and well priced. The staff have been friendly on each visit.

This is a lovely cafe to visit when you are in Lancaster Town centre. Coffee, tea and soft drinks available. There is a home made soup of the day and a variety of cakes. You can also have toast with butter, jam, peanut butter. Prices are very reasonable. We visit regularly as it's peaceful and the staff are so welcoming. Good place to have a chilled break. They support veterans, run groups for them

Nice friendly cafe excellent coffee. Good Sevice friendly staff. This is run by volunteers in aid of a services char ity. There are also services memorabilia and Military book both fiction and nonfiction available to buy. The cafe is very clean and tidy and is both disabled and child friendly.

Nestled in the heart of Lancaster, Sharpie’s Café offers a delightful escape with its homemade cakes, soups, and an array of beverages, all served in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Run by volunteers in support of veterans' charities, it not only provides excellent coffee and delicious quiche but also fosters community spirit through military-themed decor and a selection of books and games. The friendly staff create a welcoming environment, making it a perfect spot for a quiet break or a charming gathering. Each visit promises not only great food and service but also the satisfaction of supporting a noble cause.

This restaurant is a lovely and peaceful spot to take a break, relax, and enjoy a coffee. The cakes are delicious, and the quiche I had today was also great. The staff is friendly, and there are books available to read. The atmosphere is very welcoming.

We discovered Sharpe's Cafe quite by chance and had welcome morning refreshments. After that, we were in Lancaster several times and made a point of returing several times during our holiday in Lancashire. The staff are very friendly, the food is good and the whole philosophy is to channel profits to help Service Veterans via the First Light Trust. There are books and DVDs to buy amid a really pleasant environment. The place is spotlessly clean and the staff are young, friendly and enthusiastic in what they are supporting. Highly recommended do visit and help others in so doing.

I stumbled upon this cafe by chance, which caters to services/emergency personnel with discounts. They offer decent tea, coffee, and cake, and are ready to help when needed. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. The prices are very fair. Overall, a great concept and well executed.

This café offers an amazing Victoria Sponge cake, which seems to be a favorite among customers based on the comments in the guest book. Filled with fresh cream and raspberries, it was truly delicious, homemade, and one of the best I have ever had. The coffee is top-notch and the quiche also looked very appetizing. The café is run by a charity called First Light Trust, with proceeds going towards supporting veterans of the armed forces and emergency services who are dealing with various psychological issues. The décor is unique, featuring mainly military memorabilia that is also for sale. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, making it a pleasant place to enjoy excellent coffee and food, all at a reasonable price and for a great cause.
