Reviews summary
While some patrons sing the praises of this fish and chips establishment for its quality and service, others express notable disappointments. Reports reveal issues with a cash-only payment policy, leading to frustration among diners unprepared for this restriction. Food quality has elicited mixed feedback, with complaints about soggy chips, inadequate pie preparation, and missing sauces. However, customers who appreciated the innovative contactless ordering system felt safe and satisfied during their visits. Ultimately, this restaurant showcases a divide in dining experiences, appealing to some while leaving others disheartened. Continued improvements could bridge this gap and enhance customer satisfaction.

The food was cooked fresh, but the portions of chips were small. However, it was probably for the best as the chips weren't very good anyway. The pie was also very hard. It was disappointing, especially considering it was recommended to us.
Stunning food and service. This is the place for fish and chips in the Lancaster locality. I will keep coming back.
Was nervous about going to a chippy since they've re opened. Didn't want to be stuck in a queue with ignorant people. Blacks have organised this perfectly. You order from a window that has been created at the front door. Contactless payment only. Then you are give a device which is sanitised between use, so you can wait in your car until your order is ready, then collect contactless again from a side door. Felt safe through the whole process and the food was amazing
They will Only take card payment, I traveled just over 7 miles to go to this chippy for lunch, only to be refused service because I only had cash. I used to go a couple of times a month before lockdown, I won’t be going again my lunch hour is a valuable time for me and this chippy decided they no longer want my business
