The place seemed short staffed, but everyone was very friendly.

The corn bread, OMG I so could have eaten a whole pan lol. I had the pulled pork platter. I highly recommend. Myhusband had the full rack of ribs, they fell off the bone. So amazing. If you are looking for a good BQQ meal stop into thisplace. You will not be sorry.

We got an appetizer, kids meals, and 2 entrees.Everything was phenomenal. Best BBQ/smoked place we have been to in quite some time. Everything was reasonably priced as well, Ihighly reccomend!! They also served corn bread and warm bread and butter which delicious. We will be back, sooner than weprobably should lol but we have to bring some family here because we know they will love it. We tried 4 different types of meatand all were cooked perfectly. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would! ????

When we asked the waitre... read more We were here at Al E Oops yesterday with another couple. There were already a party of 9 there so loud, we felt our eardrums would pop. When we asked the waitress if we could move, she seemed annoyed . But we moved anyway. The acoustics were terrible and magnified every sound. The bench seats were so low compared to the table that a short person would have a hard time sitting in them. I guess the place was remodeled by a tall person. Then when we placed our order the waitress who looked about 80 took our order. We asked her to split the bill for 2 couples. She said that she couldn't do that without adding a surcharge. Never heard that one before . But she finally did split the bill for 2 couples but was annoyed doing it. Then a man plopped some bread and cornbread on the table and didn't even speak. The food wasn't too bad. The spare ribs melted off the bone but the sauce they use was a little spicy, but still good. The rest of the meal was good. But nothing that wowed me! Anyway, we won't be going back there again. Especially when the staff makes customers feel unwelcome or like we were bothering them.

Our server was super friendly and brought bread and corn bread before we ordered and the menu was quite large. We ordered the two entrées of the sampler BBQ Platter with Ribs, Pulled Pork and Chicken and Haddock Fish Fry. The ribs were dropped off the bone, but the pulled pig and chicken was a bit dry. The Haddock was not as crispy as I wanted, it was good, but nothing to write at home. The prices are also reasonable so if you are in the area and are looking for some BBQ, this could be the place for you, but I would not go out to check it.

This alone should really tell you about this place. Dinner began with a plate of bread and corn bread. The bread was good. I'm not too big on maize bread, but it was surprisingly really good. I ordered the Hickory House Barbecue Sampler. It consisted of 3 meat choices, Coleslaw, beans and potato choice. I chose the double-baked potato. That was a great note for another side part. The chicken was good... the pulled pig was better (although I think it would have been a little longer to make it tenderer)... Oh, those ribs? That should die! They fell from the bones and the flesh melted right in my mouth!

Drive there early on Friday or Saturday (before 17:00), but definitely worth waiting when you come there later. The back atmosphere is a beautiful touch. Good service, child-friendly, large grill.
