I called Chellas ahead of time to confirm their vegan options. I ordered the vegetarian arepa without cheese, which came with black beans, plantains, and avocado. I also got the yuca fries with chimichurri sauce. The food was tasty and satisfying. The staff was friendly and advised vegan customers to inform them of their dietary preferences. They didn't mention that the brussels sprouts side dish was vegan, but I did... View all feedback.
I enjoyed this place very much. The food is delicious, although a bit on the pricy side. The owner and the staff are very friendly and there are outdoor seating. Parking is limited on site, but many parking spaces over the street. I want to be back at some point as I enjoyed the food and there are more dishes I want to experience.
Finally, I got the chance to stop by (I've driven by a lot)and I do not regret it! Delicious chimichurri chicken Arepas! Hearty bowl of grilled steak and yuca fries? It was a bit cold and windy today, but they do offer outside sitting. Sometime in the near future; I will sit and enjoy their meal. Friendly staff ?
I share another treasure of the Lancaster area. Chelsea's Arepa Kitchen has been founded on Hempstead for several years and has bought the entrance to depths and best. I'll let Chella's Arepa kitchen tell their own story. Please enter this Latin culture kitchen. In combination with our love for cooking with our Latin heritage, we decided to bring Lancaster something new. The result was fresh Peruvian cuisine and Venezuelan inspired arepas. Who? ve took her taste buds on a trip to the southern hemisphere are blown away from the unique taste and sensations. We put pride in any meal prepared in our kitchen and use only high-quality ingredients? something that makes a big difference when it comes to taste. We want every pennsylvanian to collect and enjoy our food: so all our meals are completely gluten-free and we offer options for vegans and vegetarians. So you come on our little island and try something new? You're happy.
If you haven't treated yourself to Chellas, go ahead and give yourself permission to do so. Prices are a little up there (as everything else these days) but the portion was good and the food was fresh and amazingly tasty and satisfying.
Absolute favorite, and must try. Add to the list of restaurants to bring your out of town friends to impress them. I had the Pernil Arepa, and Inca Sprouts. Don?t sleep on the sprouts! They are crunchy outside, and the pineapple glaze was sooo good! And they sell coke, and Jarritos. There?s parking on the side, and picnic tables to eat there. The staff is incredibly nice, and welcoming. They play good jams too.
