My personal Odyssey starts with a su... read more I have mixed feelings about this place turning to the bad side: if I could rate this place with 1,5 stars I'd have done it. My personal Odyssey starts with a suspicious lack of information about the prices of the fish. I know that depending on the season and availability you have to add and remove items such as fish, hence the existence of printers (or pen and paper, in case of a tight budget) for that purpose. Regarding the price, it's a complete boloney to not write it. Prices at €/Kg works really well, you know. The waitress was a bit slow at providing information about the products making me think she was a trainee or just unproductive. I ended asking the prices from another person and here is where the interesting part comes: the man, who was kind and helpful, informed us about the prices of each fish type they had for that day and about their sizes so we would order a bigger one more appropriate to fill our tummies. So be it. The big sole first for both of us! I said to the sedated waitress with joy and hunger. After waiting for a long time, which I didn't calculate but felt like more than 30 minutes, we received our disappointing sole. Disappointing because it had such nice flavor but it was supposed to be for two persons and that wouldn't even had filled a manlet. As far as I know a sole can be as big as 1000g in exceptional cases, being the maximum common weight at 400g. I won't bother to talk about the fries since they from a frozen bag. Tl;dr we left with a huge hole in our stomach, wallet and souls. Careful ordering fish not listed.

We started with some delicious fried fish and squid that were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. Then came the highlight of the meal, a fantastic Paella Marinera made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The combination of seafood and aromatic spices made every bite a true delight. But the excellence did not stop there. Dessert was a trilogy of flavours, including a delicious coulant, a millefeuille, and strawberry with cream. Each of these desserts was a masterpiece in itself and a real treat for the palate. I couldn't help but savor every bite. What really sets this place apart is the exceptional service. Rafa was incredibly attentive and super friendly, making us feel at home. It is clear that this is a great family business that takes pride in what it does. In my opinion, it is probably the best restaurant in L'Ampolla, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.
