Grogs - Lambton Shores

GROGS makes the best pizza, its always a win win. I have been coming here for years, always take the family, sometimes the fish and chips is a hit or a miss, But the pizza is always a winner. Our Server " KIM' was amazing! fast and never left us wanting for anything. My advise always go early for dinner, this place fills up fast.

We have been here before. The place is always busy. The food is good. We took our grandkids there for dinner. Were told it would be a 20 minute wait. No big deal. Waited in the hot sun - 27 C for 55 minutes with 2 boys under 8. After the 3rd time in asking what was going on, and watching 2 other groups of 6 that came after us, go before us, we got a table. The table was in the extreme shade on the other side of the place. We went from cooking in the sun to freezing. Had to go to the car to get sweaters and jackets. I have heard before that this place is NOT child friendly. This terrible service was unnecessary. Shame on Grogs.

Long weekend we missed the crush, had special of fish n chips, unfortunately the fish batter was not very crispy seems like they may have changed the recipe. Others in the party of four enjoyed the never to disappoint pizza Hawaiian and cheeseburger , still the best pizza around

In the past we've enjoyed our meals here but yesterday was disappointing at best. The waitress provided good service though. Shrimp cocktail was obviously frozen shrimp thawed in a microwave. It was still on the warm side and the shrimp was tough. Sauce in a plastic cup was tacky.I had the spaghetti & meatballs special. Meatballs were small & overcooked. Sauce tasted like a can of spaghetti. And I don't mean canned sauce but the can of complete spaghetti with sauce.The wife had the 10 oz steak. She said the baked potato wasn't fully cooked. Steak was a large size but quite thin. This type of cut isn't good for cooking other than well done.Not the quality I've had in the past where I have enjoyed the burgers, pizza and yes the shrimp cocktail.

OK, we waited outside for 25 minutes along with a group of young Blue Jays fans and we cheered as each party left. The place was packed and LOUD! When we got in, along with the Jay's fans, we were placed in the back room which was much quieter but there were TVs everywhere so we did get to watch the Jay's game.The food was fine. In fact the pizza was quite tasty, but the decor (see title) left something to be desired. I don't care how busy you are; clean the window sills!The young lady who served us was quite pleasant and attentive but I wouldn't wait that long again.
