I liked it, but it was almost none. eating was actually good (not especially you), but the feeling of the place was a bit off. looks like it was a bit amateur, the waiter was impatient, the music was lame and something like that. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Tommyfield:
could be so good! great place! decent wine, terrible service average food! I beat up here after an early evening on Sunday afternoon. had a few drinks and read them the time. I had to ask a few times after the menu, I ordered the pigeon bauch, I would be wrong to be negatiw as I sent an empty dish back to the kitchen. but more of a gay steak than boil, certainly not slowly cooked, excellent cracks I add, average yout... Nice room! Wonderful staff! Just one of the best places I've ever stayed in London.
Salbe Pub with great prices, friendly service and especially delicious homemade dishes. The fish cake special and the trout tars there was to die. For dessert, I recommend the banana cake. Shout to my beautiful servers Maya, Hector and Chapi. bonus points for the fab music playlist too.
Kennington £5.40 Amstel A traditional Kennington pub with bedroom and comedy club. The Tommyfield is located on a busy intersection on Kennington Lane and Kennington Road and is just five minutes walk from Kennington Metro Station. At first glance on the ground floor, this pub looks contemporary, but once you look up, you can see how majestic the architecture is. If you look at the top of the building, you can see the original name of the pub, The White Hart. This pub is named after a nineteenth century market that was home to Britain's first fish and chip shop. . The decor here is simple, but stylish. There are a few raised areas and a good size bar. There are many comfortable sofas and chairs for a comfortable pub experience. The selection of beer is simple and full of well-known favorites. I had a pint of Amstel, which was quite cheap, but was a little flat. The lady who served was very nice and gave a warm welcome. The menu is full of British classics with a good selection of hearty cakes. For pub comparison purposes here costs fish and chips £15, which is average London pub price. I visited at 4:00 on Saturday afternoon and the pub was quiet. Apart from me there was a couple with a chat in one of the window seats and some guests checked to stay up in the six bedroom hotel. This Kneipe Kennington also houses comedy nights by @alwaysbecomedy, which presents the best comedic valley around. Current actors are Jack Whitehall, Joel Dommett and James Acaster. There are many positives in this multifaceted pub. The beer and food are cheap and the comfortable surroundings make this pub a beautiful place to have a pint. Information correct to visit 24/09/22
Second time we have been for Sunday lunch, both times food and service have been great. Mya is a brilliant asset to the business, told us about different deals they have on each day of the week and best times to come etc, we will be trying the steak and wine night soon
Just finishing up a 4 night stay at the Tommyfield, and it's been a great experience. Staff are lovely, the food and drink discount in the pub restaurant when you stay is handy (and the food is good! The room is cosy and has everything you need, and is cleaned and tidied daily. The Kennington Underground is about a 5 min walk away, so the whole of London is not far away. A perfect place for an affordable stay in London.
