I just wanna say I had a great afternoon at Tamesis and just loved their service especially the bartender with glasses who is super fast with an amazing soulful smile and I am happy to give them a rating of 5 stars ! I will be going again and keep it up.
They ran out of beer they kept serving Guinness but the Guinness they were serving was so awful it should be illegal we flagged this and staff got extremely confrontational if you’re charging £8 for a pint you know is awful don’t act surprised when people complain? Lots of better places to go nearby no point trying here again!
If you’re looking for a hole-in-the-wall experience with a twist, Tamesis Dock is a hole in the water—a moored ship-turned-pub with killer views of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. It’s got that quirky, offbeat London vibe that instantly makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. The food? Very good, though not quite “wow” status. The pizzas are solid, and the Aperol Spritz seems to be the local hero. Beer lovers will appreciate the variety, and the cocktail crowd is well cared for, too. The atmosphere is hands down amazing—especially at sunset. You’re literally sipping your drink on the Thames with Parliament in view. It doesn’t get much more “London” than that. However, on our second visit the same day (yes, we liked it enough to come back! —things got a bit awkward. A local promoter told us we needed tickets for a live event, even though we’d been welcomed in, seated, and served food by the staff and owner. As tourists, we had no clue a show was scheduled or that entry was restricted. It left us feeling a bit out of place. That said, we made the best of it and still enjoyed our time. Pro tip: Check the schedule before your visit to avoid surprise ticketed events, especially in the evening. In short: Tamesis Dock is absolutely worth adding to your list of offbeat London finds. Great vibes, unique setting, and fun energy—even if the service and communication could be a touch more tourist-friendly. Come for the views, stay for the spritz and maybe double-check the door policy next time. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection
