Came here for lunch at the cricket test match. Huge queue in the morning but tables available for lunch. Amazed cheap food for a fraction of the price of the Oval. Quick. Full menu. Friendly service. What more do you want? Had a full English. Lovely View all feedback.
What gkw09 doesn't like about Oval Cafe And Snack:
£8.50 for a big brunch with cup of tea and four slices of toast not bad value. Good food, obviously not gourmet, but quite palatable, filling and generally very satisfying. Large range of meals for all times of the day. Typically quite busy, sharp service and located right next to Oval Tube. View all feedback.
Went to grab a snack this morning, despite cricket being on, there was one guy doing everything on his own, queue out of the door. After 15 minutes he announced sausage sandwich, I mistakenly thought it was mine, he said its not for you why did you take it I said because I was next, we had both ordered the same accept for sauce. Needs more staff and a course in manners.
Enjoyed a delicious full English breakfast here. Bacon in particular is really good! Numerous breakfast options, can swap items out as I did with egg for another sausage. Helpful location, so close to Oval underground station. The two staff I saw were friendly and I would definitely visit again. Recommend highly

Albeit it was not a sunny day, it was certainly mild enough to eat in Kennington Park and have an ‘outside breakfast’ with 3 work colleagues. Just across the other side of the road A3 lies this cafe. One can order food to takeout, which was perfect, for this scenario. I wasn’t massively hungry, but the dude working, very kindly did me a fried egg, some toast, mushrooms and tomatoes. Very pleasant indeed, and just the right amount. Two of our group opted for an impressively huge brekkie sausage, egg, bacon, baked beans, mushrooms and chips. The last colleague, who had arrived, adorned alarmingly, in a shirt ‘so’ bright, that I could only describe it as being the colour of ‘dog d red’ (and I did, indeed, point this out to him), opted for fried eggs and toast. This place was well maintained, clean and tidy. Service was good and fast. All the food was most enjoyable, and the prices are good
Oval Cafe and Snack Bar has reopened after the lockdown! They are currently offering takeaway only, but with Kennington Park nearby, it's the perfect spot to grab some food and enjoy a picnic.
