No one cares more about music, artists, and the industry than T... read more Off The Cuff is without a doubt the hub of the vibrant community in the Herne Hill Brixton area. No one cares more about music, artists, and the industry than Tony, who puts his heart and soul into what he does. He also has a wonderful team of staff who are delightful and welcoming. With all kinds of music, OTC welcomes and supports everyone, even on the quietest nights it is never boring. They work closely with the Green Parrot across the square, which has an amazing chef (Ed) and during lockdown you can receive food in the courtyard so you can have a socially distant meal and drinks. I would definitely recommend doing this, a lovely atmosphere that helps you forget all your lockdown woes. I couldn't recommend this place enough. The live music industry has taken a big hit in recent months and it is important for us to protect it. OTC is a bar we never want to lose, so please, come down, have a drink and keep the heart of Herne Hill beating.

This is a very enterta... read more After losing the Media Luna lane in 2012, Pub Herne Hill was left without a live music venue. Thankfully, it suddenly reopened its doors. This is a very entertaining place in one of the arches under the train bridge. They use classic furniture and all the pieces around you are for sale. There is a small snack bar and very friendly people at the bar. We have been there many times for live events and have hired the venue for a very successful private party. It also suddenly hosts some concerts as part of the annual local music festival.

I rehearsed a five-piece band in there for four hour... read more Off The Cuff have started providing a band rehearsal space, which we used the other day for the first time. I rehearsed a five-piece band in there for four hours and it was a great experience, for me far superior to using any rehearsal studio. You get the entire live room, PA, mics amps and kit and, if needed, a multitrack recording thrown in, all for a very reasonable price. Personally, the extra space was the main thing for me and this also translated into nice, clear sound with almost nothing in the nature of feedback. I felt like I was able to think straight in a full band rehearsal for the first time in years. Highly recommended.
