Reviews - Strada Southbank
Reviews summary
Strada sits on the South Bank with waterside views of the Thames and Tower Bridge, offering a contemporary Italian dining experience that many guests enjoy for breakfast, brunch and dinner. Reviewers consistently praise the setting, vibrant atmosphere and friendly servers, with several staff members—named individually—commended for warm, knowledgeable service. The food receives mixed but generally positive feedback: pizza, antipasti and pasta dishes often delight, while some mains (notably certain risottos and chicken pasta) and occasional inconsistencies are mentioned. Service quality can vary; when it’s good the evening is memorable, but a few reports describe lapses in order handling and dispute resolution that mar the visit.

We had the seafood linguini which was very tasty. Chi-la was excellent with the service. We will be back soon.
This was my favourite restaurant as a child, I hadn't been for 10 years and everything lived up to my nostalgic expectationa! The genovese flatbread is one of my favourite foods. Great service from Chi-la!
I visited Strada recently and overall had a mixed experience. I ordered a burger and chips, mainly because I suspected the portions might be on the smaller side, and luckily it was fine — nothing amazing, but decent enough. My friend, however, ordered the spicy pork pasta ragù, and the portion was extremely small. For the price, it really should come with something extra like complimentary garlic bread, or at least be a more filling dish. He actually left still feeling hungry, which shouldn’t happen at a restaurant in this price range. The staff were friendly and the service was good, but unfortunately the food itself was a disappointment. I’m not sure I’d return based on this visit.

One of the best Italian food on Thames river next to London Eye! Sumptuous food and great service would highly recommend! Price per person: £90–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Located by the water, this restaurant seemed like the ideal place for a nice dinner after our first full day in London a couple weeks ago. The food was average meaning that I don't think there's anything particularly special. One thing that did bother me was that I overheard our waitress discuss something to who seemed like one of the managers about how we ordered a dish that people don't typically get. That was unsettling as it gave me the impression that 1) the dish wouldn't be fresh since barely anyone orders it or 2) that we were being judged for choosing an unpopular item. With that being said, this is a nice place to try out if you don't have something specific you're looking for.
Massive shoutout to Dom for being our waiter. He was so much fun! He first of all greeted us with a smile, he helped us with recommendations on the food and drinks, he would always come and check if we were okay and he knew a lot about the menu! You could tell he genuinely wanted us to have the best possible experience! It was our first time and we really did. Thanks Dom you are a credit to the team! Honestly one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had. My fiance is 140 days sober and clearly ordered a virgin cocktail. When the bill came we found out we had been charged for the alcoholic version. When we queried this with the waiter, he told us he had made the alcoholic version and it was our fault for not making it clearer we were ordering a virgin drink. Our whole table of four heard that we had ordered the virgin cocktail but he just completely dismissed these claims. He was so rude for a frankly inexcusable mistake. Food was average but the whole experience was tainted by the unbelievable handling of a staff mistake. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

I recently enjoyed a lovely dinner at strada. I was accompanied by our friendly and knowledgeable waitress, Annalena. I will definitely be returning.
I had a delicious lunch and excellent service from the waitress! I will definitely return. Highly recommended!
To be honest, one of the worst culinary experiences we have ever had. my engagement is 140 days sober and clearly ordered a virgin cocktail. when the bill came, we found out that we had been charged for the alcoholic version. when we wiped this with the waiter, he told us he had made the alcoholic version, and it was our fault that we did not make clearer that we ordered a virgin to drink. our four tables heard that we had ordered the young lady cocktail, but he just canceled these charges completely. he was so rude for an unavoidable mistake eating was average, but the whole experience was spotted by the incredible handling of a personal error. avoid them. avoid them. avoid them.
For antipasti, pizza, pasta. everything was fresh, tasty and the portion size was also good. only the aubergine in antipasti not liked. also try other articles.
I had the Caesar salad with chicken, Margherita pizza, and mushroom tortellini pasta, all of which were recommended. The restaurant was a bit loud, but we enjoyed our meal and the waitress was helpful.
