Horse Bar Restaurant - Lambeth

We made a spontaneous choice to try the pub located across the street from our hotel for an early evening dinner and it turned out to be the best decision ever. The service was excellent, the fish and chips were delicious, and they had a great selection of beers. We will definitely be returning.

The staff was fantastic, the food was delicious, the cocktails were amazing, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was lovely. This was our favorite pub during our time in London.

I was searching for a place to pass some time before heading to a restaurant with my partner. We stumbled upon this place and discovered it was not very crowded around 5pm on a Saturday. We sat in a booth since my partner is in a wheelchair, and there was enough space to store it while we enjoyed a few drinks. The bar staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The drinks were reasonably priced and the food options, including vegetarian and vegan choices, looked appetizing. We are excited to return next time we are in the area and dine here. I would definitely recommend this place.

I booked a table for Sunday lunch but I didn’t get a reply to my booking. We turned up anyway as we were meeting some family from Canada who were staying near by. The staff had no idea I’d booked on line, had poor English, seemed surprised when I showed them the booking receipt and told me the pub was closing at 1pm. Very odd, very poor customer service.

Good atmosphere and service. Drinks and meals are really good, fish and chips was one of the best at this visit. Recommended!
