Description

Nestled in the bustling South Bank, this restaurant offers a unique blend of charm and challenges. Diners rave about the rich, creamy hot chocolate, skillfully crafted from melted chocolate, which is a standout highlight. The varied menu features tempting options, though some dishes may fall short of expectations. Service quality fluctuates, with reports of slow attentiveness and occasional rudeness from staff. The cozy, subtly decorated interior provides a relaxed atmosphere, despite being a bit dim. While the establishment lacks the allure of its neighbors, it deserves a visit for its creative menu and inviting ambiance, making it an impressive spot to unwind.

My wife and I arrived at Vergnano without a reservation and were seated promptly. The service was outstanding, with attentive staff and delicious food. Our starters arrived quickly, followed by the main course without much of a wait. The staff were very attentive, making sure our wine glasses were never empty. The restaurant was bustling with customers when we arrived, and remained busy throughout our visit. Thank you very much - we will definitely be returning.

I met a friend for lunch at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The ingredients were top-notch, the food was expertly prepared, and the flavors were exceptional. The coffee afterwards, as always, was the best in London. I will definitely be dining here more frequently.

Good restaurant open late. Went for post cinema hot chocolate and coffee after a show. Would love if they offered gluten free chocolate!

I've eaten here three times now all after seeing the queues in the better known nearby chains. We've never had to queue. The downstairs area at the back is comfortable and smart, and have found the service and delivery to be attentive, pleasant and fast even on a Friday night. Nor does it appear to attract the noisy groups that gather in the neighbouring restaurants and it is not that much more expensive. I'm not terribly fussy when it comes to food or wine, but have found every dish I've eaten here to be more than satisfactory. I particularly enjoyed the tagliatelle with beef strips.
