I want to begin this review by mentioning that I am a travel blogger and have had the opportunity to dine at many restaurants around the world—both good and bad. I can confidently say that Jons Kebab House offers one of the most delightful meals I've experienced. Although the restaurant has a simple setup with picnic tables on a terrace, the culinary experience is a solid 5 stars! The owner, Jon, was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to accommodate my tomato allergy. He even prepared special treats tailored to my dietary needs and preferences. Since it was my birthday, I was pleasantly surprised when he offered me a rice pudding infused with unique spices as a special treat. This place is truly a culinary gem located in San Diego County, near the Santee Lake resort. And then...

This is not your ordinary Mediterranean restaurant. The flavors here are truly distinctive. They offer a variety of dishes, including soups and palows (stones), along with kebabs, burgers, gyros, fries, and lamb specialties. Everything is prepared fresh upon ordering, so be prepared to wait or consider calling in your order. I'll definitely return!

The Chicken Qabuli was seasoned to perfection. The chicken, the rice, the salad—my fiancée devoured it. The Spinach Curry was rich in flavor and cooked beautifully; it was so satisfying that you wouldn't even miss the meat. Everything was incredibly tasty, but it never felt overdone. Every dish was prepared with delicate precision. I will definitely be coming back here!

The food is fresh and delightful. It has an authentic taste, yet it's distinctively different from other Middle Eastern cuisine you typically find in Southern California. The iced tea is a pleasant surprise, flavored with honey and what I believe is cardamom.

I genuinely had one of the best dining experiences ever! I ordered the chicken kabob with rice, and it was absolutely flavorful. The ingredients were of top-notch quality, and the spices were evident in every bite. My husband tried the lamb and remarked on how tender it was with no gristle at all. My son enjoyed the gyro and fries, declaring it delicious. We can't wait to return and explore more of the menu. I also had the pleasure of meeting Jon, the owner, who was very friendly!
