Had lunch there first, I had Pad Thai, not too hot was lovely, partner had fish & chips. Our last night in Lakes we went again, had 1/2 a doz. oysters kilpatrick, yummo, I had seafood stir fry, was yummy, alas no calamari but plenty of scallops. Partner had chicken schnitzel, one end was thin the other thick. Was worth it. Staff were very friendly. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Nick's:
After being rushed into a seat down the side of the restaurant we were left to go through our menus. During this time we discovered that the table had food stuck on it from previous dinners and that the table top was wobbly. Decided on the seafood platter for two and 1 glass of wine. During our stay in Lakes Entrance, the owner of the Motel suggested Nick's for dinner. The food was absolutely incredible!! My husband and I opted for Thai dishes while our daughter had the chicken schnitzel and deep-fried Mars Bar. The Thai dishes were some of the best we've ever had, so full of flavor. The chicken schnitzel was tender and juicy, and the dessert was fantastic. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we returned for breakfast before leaving, and it was just as delicious!! We wish Nick's was our local restaurant.
Nick's was recommended to us by locals and it did not disappoint. The breathtaking view added to the overall dining experience. For starters, we had the delicious coconut prawns. For our main dishes, we tried the duck lychee red curry and the stir fry beef cashew. We had no complaints and will definitely be returning today.
The best place to eat in Lakes. We go regularly. Friendly staff, fast service and delicious fresh food.
