Asked a local where he he bat fish and chips and he directed me here. I gotta say he is spot on. Price is middle of a he is road but quality is first class. Doc says she can only eat fish once a week cause of her he high iodide content that affects my thyroid... but while here for one week I expect to break the rules and make it 3 times this week lol. unfortunately not in the position to be able to better evaluate this fish and chip shop. as a lover of calamari I ordered them with chips while my wife had a fish. my calamari was simply terrible, driping with oil, unpalatable. the fish of my wife was much more beautiful, but nothing special. we both felt blooming and unpleasant after. it is to be understood by the past that the owners do not go out of their way to r... I phoned my order in on a mid week autumn evening and was told the order would be ready in 15 minutes. When I arrived at this time to pick the order up they had not started to cook it which was very disappointing. There was certaily no excuses as they were not busy.The meal itself was quite nice but not the best I've ever had. My friends who are locals told me that it is the best fish & chip shop in Lakes. We had chips, flake and scallops.

I am regular at Fish a Fare.Today was just a quick visit for a piece of flake. (and I am fussy flake eater)Absolutely perfectly cooked and the batter was delicious!I was driving further east when I finished eating it, and if I was still in Town I would've gone and bought a second piece!I'll be back!

Always great fresh fish and chips, fast and easy to access for all. Great for family picnics and close to the water.

Family were happy with their tea from here, massive portions of chips and kids loved their sausages in batter. Adults thought the batter on the fish was pretty disappointing but the flake was really good quality. Wait was over 20 minutes, not sure if that's usual but felt a long time when kids need feeding.
