This is the hands down the best buffet by far. Everything is good, and this is hard to reach with buffet food. Who has ribs on the buffet every day? My favorites are the goose, green beans, ribs and Italian wedding cakes. Her sweet tea is also dying. View all feedback.

For those who say that Golden Corral is comparable, I do not see how they might say that. Golden Corral has mediocre service and mediocre food (if the food is not sitting on the buffet for so long, it is crusty or mushy). Freds is a great place to get real South cuisine! We were never disappointed with the quality of food or services. The buffet usually includes pot roasts, roasted tomatoes, sores, collar, pole beans, rice, potato maize, sweet potato casserole, baked Mac n cheese, grilled fish, fried fish, fried chicken, ribs, etc. I will say that this is not a place to go for those with food restrictions, itp those with heart conditions that need to observe.
Joyous Regret. This is the term I created for my visit to Fred's Southern Kitchen. I don't regret it... I regret how much I ate. Everything was great and renewed my belief that a buffet can also taste fresh and some homemade. Can't wait to go back and try the menu items.
Well, properly prepared Southern food will always find harder and harder. It was a treat for me to eat here and enjoy the food I grew up. Quality and value.
Fantastic Fred 's!. This place is great. I love the concept of buffets but am often left feeling disgusted and scammed. This place is a happy exception. Every visit I have come with the family and everyone has left satisfied and eager to plan the next visit. I was a little leery the last time I visited as to how I would fare since my dietary habits had recently shifted from occasional poultry and fish, to straight pescatarianism. However, I was pleasantly surprised that they had added a few more fired and grilled fish dishes to the line up, as well as removed some of the pork from their veggie dishes (a southern thing). I suppose what I 'm getting at is that you can bring the whole family and everyone should be able to get their fill. The only thing that would make this place better is a lower price, but really we all should probably treat buffets as a 'once in a while ' affair anyhow.
