Was Benício Fonseca at Irwin Inn a mag?
The three of us had never visited this restaurant before and were pleasantly surprised. We all ordered the fettuccine alfredo, which we found to be very good but lacking a bit of seasoning. The presentation was great, and we enjoyed the garlic toast that came with it. We loved the view of Stoney Lake, although the windows could have been cleaner. The waitress was friendly and delightful to chat with. Two of us decide... View all feedback.

What Bijoy Venkataraman dislikes about Irwin Inn:
I arrived at this restaurant on Friday night and checked into my room, only to find 2 inches of dust on the night tables, dresser, and bed post. The next morning, I tried to make breakfast, but the frying pan still had old cooked-on food stuck to it. When I tried to rent a boat, I was disappointed to find that there was only one boat available, and it was already rented out. The website had advertised a variety of ac... View all feedback.

We stopped here for a very late lunch on our way around the Kawarthas area. We had a nice lunch- the tomatoe basil soup was excellent. If you choose the spinach salad- you might like to request the dressing on the side since it was quite heavy on my salad. My husband had the grilled cheese and enjoyed it. The location is what really makes the lunch enjoyable - sitting on the wood deck looking at the lake and the islands!

Irwin Inn is a nice resort with excellent food and a wonderful staff. Had never been until we booked our wedding there and had a wonderful experience. We have been back since and will surely return.

This is a resort but has been a long standing piece of dining quality in the Kawartha Lakes area. It offers good albeit somewhat expensive dining while overlooking the confines of Stony Lake

Thank you. We would definitely come back again.

This resort was marketed as a luxury family destination, but it fell far short of that description. We had a family reunion there in July 2015 with over 85 people in attendance, and it was disappointing. The manager was rarely available and unhelpful when we could find her. The rooms seemed outdated, with holes in the window screens allowing mosquitoes in. The golf course was untended, and the food service was slow. Even simple items like a grilled cheese sandwich took over an hour to arrive. Dinner service for nearly 90 people was slow, with children missing out on dessert. The children's play area was run down, with safety hazards present. Despite the high prices, the overall experience was a disappointment. We will not be returning.
