I was surprised to find that frozen vegetables, partially filled glasses of alcohol, and store-bought hors d'oeuvres cost $250 for two people. I would not recommend the New Year's special menu, as it is just regular bar food. This was the most overpriced meal I have ever had. I left feeling very disappointed.

I held my son 's tenth birthday here i... read more This is Lakefield 's (and Peterborough County 's) finest dining gem and is staffed by some truly incredible human beings. I held my son 's tenth birthday here in 2017. We (just the two of us) arrived by limo and he experienced his first fine dining in a fancy restaurant . Both of us could not have been more impressed. They cooked his favourite dish and made him a devil 's food cake that was astronomically good. I greatly enjoyed the special and the night was simply beautiful, all thanks to Cassis Bistro. Make this little bistro part of your life, on special occasions or any occasion for that matter. Absolutely worth every single dime. Thank you, Cassis Bistro, for an amazing evening in November 2017! My young son will never forget his tenth birthday, all thanks to you!

For $50 CAD, we enjoyed an appetizer, an entree each, and a dessert. The meal was gourmet and by far the best we've had in Canada!
