Villa Amato Pizza - Lake Toxaway

Wow! I came in with fairly low expectations, but they really exceeded them. The salad was fresh and crisp, and the balsamic dressing was fantastic. I ordered the toasted Italian sub, and as someone who's quite particular about Italian subs, I found it to be very good. It would have been even better with banana peppers on it. The large Italian bread was excellent as well, paired perfectly with good butter.

When we go out, we like to find mom-and-pop-style places, and this one definitely met our expectations! We were not disappointed at all! The food was fantastic, and the sweet tea was the 'real' Southern style! The staff was friendly and attentive. The building has a charming original feel, which suits the mountain setting perfectly. We will definitely be returning in the future!
