What User doesn't like about The At The Greystone:
We had a wonderful dinner, views are spectacular! My only complaint was the service was a little out and they sushi appetizer we had ordered had only 4 very thin pieces when our server said it had 11. It was $21.00 for 4 thin pieces of sashimi, not get this. View all feedback.
We had dinner at the Inn. You can dine inside or outside. The view is beautiful. It is located directly on the lake and next to the country club in the real estate community. It is a good 15 minutes from the main road and all the way in the back of the municipality. It's dark and there are no street lights. They just seem to be barely occupied. Our server was friendly and polite, but not very efficient. It took about 15 minutes until someone took our drink order. We ordered the **** and our server didn't bring a knife to cut it. I got his attention after 10 minutes to ask for a steak knife. We had never refilled our water glasses and only got half a glass to start. We have 2 pieces of bread for us 2 and it was very hard. They had a nice selection of wines. I was not impressed for the amount of money it cost. I expected much better service and quality. My salad had something in it that was hard and tasted like dirt. I'm not sure it was something with the salad or sunflower seed. The restaurant and the view are very nice, but you can find better food and service elsewhere.
Service was great. Everyone is courteous and friendly. We were at The Cooper Room in Hillmont. Very large room with beautiful views of the lake. We played pimpelsball and tennis on weekends (except in the rain). Fiery machines and daily water replacement for coffee. Our shower door was missing during weather tripping, but they fixed it within 30 minutes. Minor things: Consumable materials are provided in hard to use disposable containers. Pipes or wall dispensers would preferably be preferred. Outside the alcohol is forbidden and drinks are very expensive, but then it's just about everything. Nice place. The journey worth
We took my mom here to remember what would have been my parents 61st wedding anniversary. The steak and salmon was delicious along with the shrimp and grits (We did not expect the tomato sauce with it. One of us is allergic to tomatos) tomatoes. Crystal our server was amazing and Brandy, the bar tender was good to see. We met Brandy as our server at another local restaurant which has since closed. The Greystone Inn's ambiance, attention to detail and impeccable service was top notch. Thank you all for a wonderful evening!
I never write reviews (really) but this is deserving. We were so excited to visit a few weeks ago and even met a couple on our travels who said they wanted to spend their anniversary at The Greystone. ?Must be a fantastic place,? we thought to ourselves. But alas, we caught COVID. I called the day we were scheduled to arrive with the news and I couldn?t have asked for better treatment. They said they were sorry our trip was interrupted and then didn?t charge us a penny. I follow them on Instagram and truly can?t wait to finally visit this beautiful place and share my appreciation for their kindness and generosity in person. Thank you Greystone.
We stayed at the Greystone after New Years, so it was relatively quiet on the grounds. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and accommodating! The room was absolutely beautiful and we loved waking up to the views of the lake each morning. The in room fireplace was wonderful for ambiance and keeping warm. We didn?t realize just how secluded the inn was (from grocery stores/other restaurants), but the food options on site satisfied us! We did travel to the neighboring towns for lunch and dinner a few days of our stay, just to get a variety in options. Overall, we loved our stay and don?t have any complaints about the hotel/staff. We would love to stay again during the summer and use some more of the amenities! Highly recommend for a romantic getaway! You can?t beat the views.
