I got the pho 'rench dip which was a very clever mix of French dip with pho. The soup broth itself was plainer and less authentic than what you 'd get at a Vietnamese eatery, but it was pretty nice and went well with the sandwich. They have a good sauce of sriracha and hoisin that compliments the meat well. I 'd also highly recommend the fries on the side, they 're seasoned and spiced well. Prices are fair for what you get, and the place is really clean and spacey. Just a comfortable place to go. Parking isn 't the best in this general area, but definitely not the fault of the restaurant.

What... read more I asked if they had any gluten free options and was told that not one thing on their menu is gluten free and if I have celiac I really shouldn't go there. What a way to make a person feel unwelcome! I don't expect every restaurant to have a full gluten free menu but for a Portland restaurant to not even offer a single GF menu item is an intentional choice and the way I was spoken to was not kind. Please consider that people with celiac do have families and sometimes we go out to eat with said family. Maybe offer a simple salad or a bun-less sandwich at least?
