We were a group of women dining together, and our server, Rob (whose name tag said Robert), was fantastic. He was very attentive and had a smile throughout the entire meal. Dennis provided some comic relief at our table and was quite charming. The food was outstanding—the seafood tower was exceptional, and the tuna was delicious. What User doesn't like about Ruth's Chris Steak House Lake Grove:
Steaks were good, they don’t offer and sauces like most fine steak houses. Crab cocktail came out with cocktails sauce or lemons. Lobster bisque only had one piece of lobster in it. Bread was never brought out to the table. Manager did buy my wife a drink which was very nice of him. View all feedback.
It's Ruth's Chris! The food is excellent, and the service is exceptional. I had a wonderful time!
Two of us ordered petite filets, and one ordered the crab cake entrée. Just like my last visit, we were warned about the 500-degree plates and advised not to touch them. On my previous visit, this was clearly explained again when the entrées arrived, and the plates were placed directly in front of each guest. This time, a gentleman simply announced “hot plate, hot plate” and didn’t position the plates in front of us; we had to use our napkins to move them. It’s not a huge issue, but when you've had a much more pleasant experience in the past and are spending over $400 for a meal for three, you certainly have certain expectations. The presentation of the food was lacking compared to my last visit; the plates had splatters and just appeared messy. On a positive note, the steaks were cooked perfectly and the blue cheese crust was delightful. Unfortunately, the crab cakes looked undercooked, lacked flavor, and, although the plate was hot, the cakes were not. Our side dishes arrived only after we had reminded the waiter halfway through our meal. The creamed spinach was absolutely delicious, but the garlic mashed potatoes were underwhelming; I’d recommend opting for the potatoes au gratin instead. For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée, which was fantastic. We also tried the chocolate duo, a lava cake paired with chocolate mousse (although it’s not on the menu), and that was also very good. I recall enjoying the espresso martini during my first visit, so I ordered it again this time. While it was tasty, it was unfortunately mostly foam, with only a small amount of actual beverage. This was my second time at this location, and the experiences couldn't have been more different. Given how exceptional my first visit was, I will likely give it another shot, but for these prices, it really should consistently meet those expectations.
Everything was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. The only issue was that they didn’t have enough martini glasses for drinks. I suppose it was a busy night.
We went for NY Eve, the bar and restaurant was pretty crowded. We got drinks that were made really well, the bartender clearly knew what he was doing! The overall service was good especially for a holiday. The food was also very good. Overall, we had a very nice experience and would recommend!
Waiter was new so I can’t hold it against him but , he had made several mistakes that made experience not so great for New Years Eve with family.
