The location is nice and the staff were friendly, although they seemed overwhelmed for a restaurant of this price range. Paying $60 per person for a basic two-course lunch, not including sides and drinks, suggests a higher quality than what we experienced. The food was decent but arrived painfully slowly and was lukewarm when served, despite the restaurant only appearing to be about 30% full. The wine selections were average everyday bottles, which I wouldn’t mind paying $25-30 for at a boutique cellar door since I appreciate supporting local businesses. However, being charged $45-50 for a bottle at both the cellar door and the restaurant, especially after paying a premium for a rather unremarkable lunch, left me feeling taken advantage of. The venue seems suited for weddings, where the food can be mediocre since guests are often tipsy from an open bar, and the costs can be hidden from the guests. But these things are harder to overlook when the establishment presents itself as a restaurant. I’m giving it a generous three stars; it’s not terrible, but certainly not what I would expect for the price. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: A$60–80
